About me

Hello! My name is Jacob Amrine. I currently live around Concord CA in the east Bay Area. I am an IT administrator at a rapidly growing company with many employees. I attended Los Medanos college for two years and obtained my AA in Computer Science. I attended CSU East bay for 1.5 semesters (Spring/Summer) but after taking a "big kid" job and COVID, I decided to transition to the all online school Western Governor's University. I graduated from this school in January 2022 with my B.S. in Cloud Computing. I like to tell people this is buzzwordy for Computer Science, and although a large part of the degree focused on Computer Science topics, it mainly focused on the capabilities of the cloud and how to manage different applications within it.

In my free time, I love spending time in the outdoors, whether it be backpacking, camping, or just a day hike. I love spending time with my family and friends as well. I like listening to audiobooks on long drives or while doing monotonous tasks - so far Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson is my favorite. I love all types of food of course and am looking for new places to try.

Some things I've been wanting to try: paramotoring, multi day backpacking trip, and maybe skydiving if I'm especially brave. Anyone want to do it with me?
